Chevy Tahoe High Country 2021 in brownGeneral Motors has issued a recall of more than 338,000 large SUVs. This move comes because their Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) can remain lit even when the headlights are turned on.

This seems like a rather trivial problem to their drivers. However, the rest of the drivers on the road may be at increased risk from this. In documents filed with federal safety regulators, GM notes that “the resulting glare may increase the risk of avalanche” by temporarily blinding oncoming traffic.

GM’s SUVs have developed a reputation for blinding oncoming traffic, so the automaker wants to stay on top of the problem.
