2023 Genesis Electrified G80 front quarter cornerGenesis will sell you a 2023 G80 gasoline-powered luxury sedan for less than $49,500 or an all-electric vehicle starting at $79,825. Both also cost $1,095 for delivery.

It becomes the price difference that opens the eye little bit Makes more sense when you consider that the 2023 Genesis Electrified G80 comes in one trim level equipped with nearly every luxury the Korean automaker can make.

The electric version compares more fairly to the fully equipped G80 than the base model. But a fully equipped G80 with every available option still comes in at just under $73,000 before destination fee.

And the G80 Electrified doesn’t qualify for federal electric vehicle tax credits, both because it was built outside the US and because it’s priced so high.

The electrified G80 gets 282 miles of range from its 365 horsepower, all-wheel drive system. This makes it as powerful as the most powerful G80. The most powerful engine available in the gas-powered G80, a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, produces 375 horsepower.

Genesis sells the electric sedan in just 12 states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Utah, Virginia and Washington.
