Lucid is short on details and long on superlatives when it comes to Gravity. We would like to give you specifications, price and other details … but Lucid did not provide them to us.
The company has earned some credibility for its bragging—the 2022 Lucid Air is the longest-range electric vehicle on the market, and it travels an EPA-certified 520 miles between charges. The high-performance Air Sapphire boasts over 1,200 horsepower.
Lucid promises “a previously unattainable combination of supercar performance and seating for up to seven adults” with Gravity.
It engages the face of the air, with longer proportions. A horizontal light bar connects the headlights, while slim vertical daytime running lights are mounted lower. The taillights share the same horizontal connection.
Built on the same platform as the Air, it features a short trunk that, viewed from above, looks more like a minivan than an SUV. But part of that tall roof is a massive roof spoiler.
Inside, Lucid will offer three seating configurations — seating five, six, or seven adults in two or three rows. Concept sketches show a set of rear captain’s chairs that appear to recline sharply. They sit under a huge glass canopy roof.
Lucid didn’t give any performance details but promised “more range than any other electric car on the market—other than its stablemate, the Lucid Air.”
The company says, “More information on the full Lucid Gravity collection will be released in early 2023 when reservations open.”
