A teaser image showing the futuristic Ram electric truckRam will not be showing off its electric truck at this month’s Los Angeles Auto Show. Instead, the company will bring its battery-powered truck to CES in January.

This move may not mean that the truck is behind in development. Mike Koval Jr., CEO of Ram, told the Detroit News, “Given its broad portfolio of advanced technology, as well as the brand’s recent global growth and potential for more, we felt it made perfect sense to reveal the car at CES 2023.”

CES has steadily become part of the automotive show circuit. Last year, Chevrolet revealed its very own Chevy Silverado EV at the Las Vegas show.

We know little about the electric ram. The company released several mysterious designs. It shows a sleek, forward cabin design with prominent X-pattern LED lighting and four doors. Reports indicate that it may bear the name Ram REVolution.

Koval told reporters in September that the Ram would try to outpace electric pickups like the Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevy Silverado EV in traditional truck traits like towing and payload.

The truck we see at CES may not be a finished product. Instead, Ram spokespeople told us to expect a concept car that shows what a future truck might look like, if extraordinarily polished and production-ready. Stellantis Ram’s father has taken this approach with several recent electric launches, including Dodge’s first electric muscle car.
