For this assignment, you will create a risk reduction program proposal specific to your community. Choose an issue that you think would benefit your community. For example, if you live near the coast, a water safety or boating safety program may be beneficial. Consider that you, as a citizen, are proposing this to your community or city council. Your proposal must address the areas listed below.
Provide a brief overview of the demographics of your community and what fire, emergency medical services (EMS), or health care agencies you think should participate in the program.
Identify the risk reduction/injury prevention needs of the community.
Discuss the rationale for the program that you wish to deliver, including any training or specialized needs the agencies may have related to the program.
Identify funding sources or partnerships that may make the program successful.
Describe how the program will benefit the community.
Your assignment must be a minimum of three pages in length and include an introduction and conclusion. Be sure to explain why the program will benefit not only the agencies but also the community. You must support your work with at least two sources other than your eTextbook. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment.
