2023 Kia EV6 GT

The 2022 Kia EV6 started at $41,400, plus $1,295 for delivery. Pricing for the 2023 Kia EV6 will start at $48,500, plus the same $1,295 fee.

The price jump, on paper, is eye-catching. But that comes more because Kia dropped the base Light model from its EV6 lineup due to a lack of interest. The next stage – the Wind – started at $47,500 for 2022. For 2023, most trim levels saw a price increase close to $1,000.

Other than that, there seem to be virtually no changes to the EV6 for the new model year – which is no surprise, as it was all new in late 2022. The much-anticipated EV6 GT will arrive at dealerships in the fourth quarter with 576 horsepower and 3.4 seconds from 0-60 miles per hour.

Kia also charges a mandatory $1,295 for EV6 delivery. Under an inflation-reducing law passed this summer, the EV6 does not qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit because it was built outside of North America.

We should also note that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is built on the same platform and uses many of the same parts, with a radically different design. It’s still available in a fairly spartan base model for 2022, so Hyundai continues to offer it for a lower price tag of $41,450, plus $1,295 for delivery.
