2023 Ford Bronco Sport with Black Diamond Off-Road PackageThe smaller and more affordable of Ford’s two off-road-oriented SUVs is available in a wide range of configurations for 2023. But Ford has something new to add to the list. The 2023 Ford Bronco Sport is now available with the Black Diamond off-road package that adds some of the capabilities of the best-in-class Badlands model without the full price tag.

Shoppers can add the Black Diamond package to Big Bend or Outer Banks trim levels. It is not available on the old style Heritage and Heritage Limited models with the white grille.

The package adds four steel plates that cover key 4×4 powertrain areas, including the front metal skid plate, fuel tank protection and canister shield, Ford says. It rides on unique 17-inch low-shine carbon gray aluminum wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.

A matte black horse hood graphic and Bronco lettering on the underside of the body make it clear that you’re looking at a black diamond.

Ford says shoppers can order the package today. But it has not been added to the online car configurator yet. Ford tells us it adds $1,295 to the Bronco Sport’s price.

2023 Bronco Sport Off-Road Ticket Included

Every 2023 Bronco Sport comes with a ticket to an educational day at one of Ford’s off-road driving schools. Located in Horseshoe Bay, Texas (near Austin); Potosi Mountain, Nevada (near Las Vegas); Moab, Utah; and Guilford, New Hampshire, schools offer driving tracks led by off-road instructors who will show you how to get the most out of your new car.
